2010-02-04 - Urgent plea:Very young puppies (50 days old) in need of a home or foster home

The puppies in this picture are male (left) and female and they also have a sister (we don’t have a photo of her yet). We believe that they were born around 15/12/09 so today they are 50 days old. At full growth they will be medium sized (20-25 kilos). They were born in the premises of an unfenced company area in Aspropyrgos and were found 25 days ago by an animal friendly gentleman, Mr. Giorgos who works in a nearby company. Following Mr. Giorgos’ request, the company postponed closing its unsecured area with a door, until the latest, February 20th so that Mr. Giorgos can visit and feed the mother and her puppies; then he promised to remove them from the property. They are urgently in need of foster care and their mother will be spayed once they are weaned, which is going to be pretty soon. Eligible to SAPT Hellas’ “Adoption of Companion Dogs” project which offers several upon-adoption veterinary benefits and training support for life. We are sorry for the mixup. It turned out that the surviving puppy is a female, the darker on the left side of the photo. Yesterday she was dewormed and started her vaccinations. Adopt her!

489- -Female German-shepherd mix found in Nea Penteli
The Female German-shepherd mix of the photo was found in Nea Penteli area 2 months ago. She was wearing the Scalibor shown in the photo and a brown collar with a bell which she lost. She looked as if she was recently lost from a house because they haven’t seen her in the area before. They searched though the “lost and found” ads on the internet without any result. On Monday they managed to find her again and took her to the vet. They vaccinated her and spayed her. She is 10 months old and weighs approximately 20 kilos. According to the vet who examined her she is healthy, calm, cooperative and has a good temperament. She has been living in a shelter for the past 10 days and we hope she finds a great family to adopt her so as not to return on the street. She is eligible to SAPT Hellas’ “Adoption of Companion Dogs” project which offers several veterinary benefits as well as free training support and advice for life (e-mail and phone). If you have lost your dog (purebred or crossbred) in the last 3 years, bearing a microchip or not, and mainly from areas close to Moschato, please contact info@stray.gr.
There are rottweilers, boxers, german shepherds, maltese, poddles, cockers and other doggies, crossbred hunting dogs, Belgian shepherds or Greek shepherd dogs that were all found in the illegal breeding mill in Alepochori and they have all been confiscated.
Some bear non-registered microchips so the effort is aimed at finding their owners. Two pugs have already been returned to their owner.
